Lets get on with it

Let’s cut to the chase.  2011 was a tough year.

Buyers and vendors were overwhelmed by dire warnings of an impending domestic and international economic meltdown.  The result was many were too scared to do anything.

But even in that climate we increased our sales transactions by 17% on the previous year.  That’s a great result which proves it is possible to get results even in a tough market. 

Throughout the year we recognised our clients were cautious and feeling the pinch so we worked with them to achieve results they could be comfortable with.  Perhaps not spectacular, but certainly satisfactory which delivered a happy outcome.

I expect it to be the same this year, if not better. 

That’s because I think attitudes are set to change.  After a year of waiting anxiously for the economics to either improve or implode we are becoming accustomed to the climate.

It’s a new year and it’s time to just get on with it. 

So I see the year of increased transactions as buyers and vendors realise that this could be as good as it gets.  It might not be a year of increased prices but it will definitely be a year of increased volume and that’s good for everyone.
